Maybelline Electro Pop Baby Lips

So recently Australia got some new additions to the Maybelline New York Baby Lips range. The first thing that I noticed about this product is that these are in the American packaging which I was really excited about because I had always liked the pictures that I had seen of it!

Here is a quick overall image of the colours that are currently available in Australia. At the time you could only get them in Target but since then they have been rolled out as a part of the display in all the different stores. This is something that I am thankful for because there are times when I'm really fussy about buying my products from and don't really like to be limited to one place! Again as you can see this is not the usual packaging that is seen in Australia. I am so excited to see this collection in Australia as I do remember it coming out in America and being super jealous that I couldn't get my hands on them because I loved the colour scheme.

While the actually product packaging has changed, the cardboard that it is sold in has not, making it still easy to find on the displays.

Here is Berry Bomb out of the packaging. I think this is a beautiful colour and will get a lot of use that we are now coming into the warmer months here.

Here is a swatch of Berry Bomb. As you can see, these are not as bold as they appear in the bullet. For many this will be a relief and will also be a great way to try new and exciting colours! If you were buying this product expecting it to be a bold colour, think of these like the coloured lip balms that Maybelline also have in their range.

As with all the other Baby Lips, the packaging generally follows the colour scheme of the product. Again making it easier to see in stores.

Again the packaging has been removed. I really like how simple the packaging is and how it is easy to see what it is called from the packaging.

A swatch of Pink Shock. This is the shade that is going to be my favourite because I love to wear pink lips. This being a more sheer shade means I will be able to wear this on minimal makeup days and also when I am just looking for a sheer wash of colour.

Last but not least in this shade. To me this is the most intimidating colour, but that is because I have never been too sure with orange shades.

I am really loving the simple packaging of the Baby Lips and how it corresponds with what the product shade is.

And so for the last swatch. I am glad that these are as bright as they are in the bullet because I think that this is a much more wearable colour. This will be great in the warmer months as this will brighten up your look really quickly.

REVIEW:

I love the Baby Lips range because generally they provide a nice texture on the lips and do keep them moisturized throughout the day. I don't feel this way with this range of the line. I think these are better to be viewed as a Lip Stain rather then a Lip Balm, because these didn't moisturize my lips like the originals have.

But in thinking of these more of a stain then a balm, these are great because they don't go everywhere and leave a lovely stain on the lips when they start to rub off. I loved how these looked and that they made a more natural look feel more relaxed. These are great if you want some colour on your lips but hate the feeling of other lipsticks, glosses or stains. My favourite would defiantly have to be Pink Shock, but that is purely based on the colour.

My one biggest con for this product is the packaging. I'm far to used not having to worry about how I closed the product, it was simply shut the lid and shove it in my bag. As you can see in some of the images above there is still product sticking out. This has not been done by me, but is how the product comes. So if you're in a rush, this wont be your go-to lip balm. One you have used the product more this wont be a problem, but at the start you will need to keep an eye on it to make sure you don't get product everywhere.

October Favourites

So the month of October has already come and gone and I think that the years are just starting to go by to fast! I didn't really have a lot of favourites this month but these are the ones that I do have!

This would have to be my all time favourite for the month and I don't think that I could live without this in my beauty bag anymore. I can totally understand why people are obsessed with their brows! This is a lovely product that I think is great for people who are beginning with brows. This is a product that is easy to remove if you make a small mistake (which I have done sooooo many times!). I am so glad I got this and I think it's totally worth the hype. The colour I have is in light/medium.

PRICE: $32 (Myer)

OTHER POST THIS IS MENTIONED IN HERE TA-DA

This is the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara in 01 Black. This is a deluxe sample size that they nearly always give these out with their gift with purchase. Normally I don't really like using high end mascaras because the drug store has loads of good ones. But I honestly love this mascara because of the length and volume this gives me. I have naturally long lashes and I love the length this gives me. It also stays really well, I have cried while wearing this and it didn't run down my face so I am thankful for that!

PRICE:  $48 (Estee Lauder AU) This is the first time I've looked up the price and I don't know if I would pay that, so look out for the deluxe samples!

This is another Estee Lauder product and this is the Double Wear Concealer in the shade 01 Light. Straight off the bat this is a perfect shade match for me. I have been using this product for years, but I have been really loving it for covering up the redness o my nose and chin. This is why I'm so thankful that this is a perfect colour match! This is a lovely concealer because its not super thick and blends beautifully with your foundation, whether you apply you concealer before or after foundation it doesn't affect this product!

PRICE: $33 (Estee Lauder AU)

My last favourite for the month is an eye shadow palette! As you can see it is the Meet Matt(e) Nude palette by the Balm.

If you have never seen inside this palette before here are the lovely shades included. My favourites are Matt Rosen, Matt Singh and Matt Lombardi. These shadows are great for a simple everyday look. I often wear Matt Singh on 3/4 with Matt Rosen in the corner for work. The colours in this palette are simple to work with and look great! I also have oily eye lids and with the right primer these will easily last all day and not loose pigmentation!!

PRICE: $42 (the Balm)
$49 David Jones (Where I purchased mine from)

Tony Moly and Etude House

I hear often that Asian cosmetics and skin care are just amazing, and I fully agree, I've written some reviews on other Asian products and my holy grail cleanser so far is also Asian. But these are some of the new products that I have recently gotten! All of these have come from eBay, they came in perfect condition with a good amount of samples to try as well!

First off is a lipstick and a red one at that! Red is my all time fave shade and I think this would have to be my favourite packaging! Now this is a limited edition product so you will want to get on this fast if you really want this in your life, It's from the brand Etude House (an EXTREMELY popular brand) and is the XOXO Minnie Kissing Lips collection.

As you can see this is a beautiful shade of red. I love the shape of the bullet as I feel this shape it easy to work with.

And finally a swatch on the back of my hands! I honestly love this and think this will get a lot of love in the future!

Below are a mix of skin care and lips! These are products that I wanted to try because they looked fun and also the claims were too good to pass up!

First off a primer!! It looks a little confusing in this packaging and I promise it only gets more confusing :)

This is the product outside of the box! I love this packaging! Although it's not travel friendly I think this is going to look so cute on my vanity!

This is the inside of the golden egg. I LOVE the smell of this sooo much! It made my package smell soo nice! The purpose of this primer is to help with pores. Thankfully on the box there are directions in English, so I will have to make sure I don't throw it away. I am so excited to use this and see how it works. This is called the New Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm by Tony Moly.

PRICE: $11.99 US (eBay) please note links provided are from the seller I purchased from.

Next is another egg related product. Again the packaging of this is just sooooo cute!!!

This is a face soap, thankfully the two different eggs are wrapped apart so it makes it easy to travel with if needed. I am interested to see how this is going to work! From what I could tell from the description that you use this like a normal soap... but only for your face!

PRICE: $9.99 US (eBay)

Next are some more lip products! These are from Etude House and Tony Moly. The bunny looking product is by Tony Moly, one of my uni mates uses this all the time and so I thought I would give it a shot! The two Etude House products I wanted to try because I love the colours, granted I wont get much use out of the darker shade until next year, I'm still excited about this product!

Here are the swatches of the lip products! These are in the order that they appear in the image above.
Left - right: Etude House Dear Darling in Real Red, Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss in Juicy Cherry and Etude House Dear Darling in Vampire Red.

PRICES:
TONY MOLY: $5.49 US (eBay)
ETUDE HOUSE: $5.48 US (eBay)

With the retailer that I bought everything besides the lipstick from, gave me loads of samples! I think some I will have to ask my friend who speaks Korean what they do, but others I'm excited to use!

Thanks for reading! Hopefully I'll see you next time!

NARS Translucent Crystal Setting Powder - Loose

Today is a review on the NARS Translucent Crystal Setting Powder, I have been using this for months now and I want to talk about it!

First off are some pictures of what the product looks like!

The bottom of the packaging.

The general inside of the product.

I have been using this for a few months now just like I said at the start. I wanted to try this because I have heard a lot of good things about this product from good old YouTube. Normally I go for pressed powders, but I was in the mood for a change and so got the loose version. I do not regret this at all! So that is a good thing. I am tempted to get the pressed though, I will explain why below.

The reason why I love this product so much is that it helps keep me matte during the day. I have really oily skin in the T-zone and so I need some help with keeping my makeup look good and not utterly horrible. I do think that this does help with that!

This is roughly what I would use to cover my face, this is most likely too much, so it shows you just how little you need. Now I most likely use a little too much powder, so people with normal/ dry skin would need a lot less than me. I find that this product does not affect my foundation, but even though it is a translucent powder, I do feel that it does help my foundation match my skin colour a bit more. My foundation is slightly too dark for me so this helps lighten it a tiny bit.

The reason I have thought about getting the pressed powder is because of the image above. I LOVE how this feels and looks on my skin, the only problem is that the loose version isn't exactly very travel friendly. This happened after being in my bag from shopping, it took me roughly 20 minutes to be able to get the product back into the base of the packaging. So my only concern is that if you're doing a lot of traveling maybe think about getting the pressed version. I might be getting it as I plan to go overseas soon and don't really want to have to spend potentially an hour trying to get all the product back in the right spot.

I have also re-applied this through the day and it didn't not disturb my makeup at all. It returned my makeup to what it looked like when I had first applied it in the morning. Which I was shocked and so glad for because I didn't really have time to touch up anything else.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
I do seriously love this product, I use it everyday and when I don't use it as apart of my routine I do notice a difference in how my makeup looks. If you're in need of a nice face powder and looking for a high-end product or even just a change I think you should consider this product.

RATING:
9/10

Mecca and Benefit

So! This is just a heads-up post! Recently Mecca sent me an e-mail to me letting me know that this seasons Beauty Loop box was in-store! This means that I had already spent over $300 at Mecca to get into level 1.

Now, I went in wondering if I would have to spend more money to get this box? Glad to report that nope! This comes as a part of the service, so if you're level 1 or above get on the box as it doesn't cost you anything!

This is the Level 1 box, it is my understanding the different levels have different boxes, which I think is great!

This is the packaging it comes in, it reminds me of the monthly subscription boxes which was cool.

Just like the monthly boxes it comes with a handy card!

On the back shows the products which are in the box! One thing I love it it explains why Mecca loves the product, but also how to use it! Which I think is great, because honestly sometimes I don't know what I'm meant to do with the products I get.

So here is whats in this seasons box, not gonna lie, little sad, but still cool to get this for free! The foundation sample looks good, but there was no choice in colour so ah well. I'm most excited for the perfume! I have ALWAYS wanted to try something from this brand and so now I can!!! :D

Def get on this if you can, I mean its free and it gives you the chance to try new things!

If you're interested and in Australia, here is a link to the Beauty Loops FAQ and here is a link to where you can sign up if you want to!

The next is a goodie from Benefit. The only reason I knew about this is because of Instagram!

So as you can tell this is from instagram! So I wanted to check this out in store!

So as you can see this looks just like on Instagram!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was even a sample of the They're Real Remover in there, another product I have wanted to try!

As you can see its a full size mascara, a small liner and a sachet of the remover!

I was glad to see there was a little stopper in the top of the liner, the lid is also a screw top which I was glad to see!

I have used the They're Real Mascara and I haven't been hella excited nor super disappointed. I also wasn't using it 'correctly' so lets see this time! The They're Real Push-up Liner is only 0.36, while the full size is 1.4g. But thats ok, because this is a good size to see if you like or hate the product!

PRICES:
Mascara: $38 AUD (Myer)
Liner:$35 AUD (Myer)
Remover: $25 (Myer)

If you're interested in either of these I would suggest getting on it because there is no telling how long these will be available!

Thanks for reading! Let me know if you get either of these!

Garnier Pore Refining Toner - Review

Recently my favourite toner ran out, so I decided to try another brand to see if I could find something that I might like. Well this isn't it.

The product that I will be talking about it the Garnier Pore Refining Toner, personally I have large visible pores that I would really like to go away. So I thought that this product would be the best for me!

As you can see from the front of the packaging, there are a lot of things that this product claims to do. I honestly have no been testing this product long enough to find out if any of these claims are true. The reason why for this will be explained at the end of the post. But as you can see this product claims to purify, tone and tighten pores all at the same time! Which is why I bought this product.

This is the back, the only problem I have is that there is simply too much information on here. This makes the writing really small and kind of hard to read. It also makes it sometimes difficult to find the information that you are looking for.

I have nothing bad to say about the cap. If anything it is the best cap I have ever used because it is easy to open and close, and it would be hard to destroy. I like that this also keeps the smell inside.

Now, down to the point why, even though I have barely used this product but yet I have such strong feelings on it already that I'm writing a post about it. It's simple really. This smells HORRIBLE once it gets near your face, not to mention that when I put it on my face, any sores BURN. And not just a slight tingle, if that was the case I would just ignore it and move on, but this actually feels like I am being burnt. Another big turn off is the fact this can NOT go anywhere NEAR YOUR EYES!!! IT HURTS!!!! The fumes coming off of this product if no joke, I put this on my forehead, eyes hurt, cheeks, eyes hurt and even my chin I can still feel a slight sting! Now I might sound like a wimp, but it seriously hurts, I try using a little amount, but it doesn't get rid of the burning sensation.

The main reason that I think it might be this bad, is because Alcohol is the second main ingredient in this product. Normally I don't have a huge problem with using alcohol in my products. But this is just ridiculous! If this is a part of the problem I don't ever want to go near these types of products again!!

I have never regretted getting a product as much as this, and I honestly don't really know what to do with it, I have barely used it and so I don't want to waste it. But I am dreading this part of my routine and that isn't really what I want.

If you have any suggestions on how else I could use this product then please let me know! But otherwise look the other way when it comes to this product!!

October Bella Box

Octobers Bella Box came on time for me which I was really excited and thankful for! This months theme was Nicole X Missguided Born to be Wild! It is also the 3 year birthday anniversary for Bella Box, so there was an exclusive Bella Box colour in this months box.

As always there is a card that greets you when you open the box, and this was the beautiful card we got this month!

Again this is on the back, so if you read the card first its sort of a spoiler if you will, but it does inform you of where to buy the product and also the price!

This is what greeted me when I opened my box! First impressions where 'WOOOOOOW' because there is a beautiful red nail polish right on the top, plus a Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer was clearly seen. I wasn't too impressed to see so many sachets, but what can you do. Also I can't express how many sample shampoos and conditioners I have recieved so I wasn't too thrilled with that, but I plan to travel a bit more so we shall see how that goes!

Going in the order of the products on the card, we will start with the ModelCo Skincare sachets that I got. First thoughts were 'great, not again' I'm not a huge fan of ModelCo so I was not surprised nor thrilled to see them again, but ah well.

So this did come cutely packaged which I thought was nice, there are four different samples, which I am actually a little excited to try out. The different samples are an Exfoliating Cream scrub, Soothing Moisturiser day & night, Instant Miracle Booster Skin brightening & Firming cream and finally a Double Sided Facial Wipe. I am excited for the face wipe because I will be traveling internationally next year and this will be great while traveling!

CARD DESCRIPTION:
Everything you need for perfect skin from ModelCo's brand new skincare line! This amazing new range uses natural ingredients to cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize and boost your skin.

PRICE: RRP $8 - $ 35 AUD (ModelCo Website)

The next on the list is one of the products I was excited to see which is the Rimmel London Lip Lacquer in Phenomenon.

I have bought many of these in the past so I already know that I like this product heaps! I think I will love to wear this to work because it is a lovely nude looking colour, I think this must be a new shade because I don't have this in my collection and I am pretty sure I had near all of them at one point. I haven't yet swatched this or tried this on so I don't know if it will was me out and make me look funny.

By the looks of the card I could have recieved a number of different lip products, from the image I see another Lip Lacquer, a lip pencil and a lip gloss. I'm sooooo glad I got a Lip Lacquer as I'll most likely use this the most!

CARD DESCRIPTION:
Give your lips the attention they deserve with Rimmel! Get great colour that will take you from day to night

PRICE: $15.95 (Priceline)

Next is a product that you can never be too upset about getting because it's always useful to have a hand bag size, and that is the Nivea Stress Protect Deodorant.

I have nothing against getting a deodorant in my box, I'm pretty sure the deodorant that lives in my Uni bag came from Bella Box, so now I have another one I can put in my handbag/ back pack that I use.

CARD DESCRIPTION:
Be confident in stressful situations! NIVEA Stress Protect provides advanced antiperspirant protection in stressful situations leaving you feeling fresh.

PRICE: $6.59 for 250ml aerosol (available in major grocery and pharmacy retailers)

Next is an item I don't really care about to be brutely honest. I have a tub in my cupboard slowly filling with these samples, hopefully when I go on holiday I can empty it out a bit! This product is the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner samples.

I must admit even though I am not thrilled with this product, I do LOVE the smell, it made my feel like I was in the salon getting my hair done. It made the whole box smell lovely which I really liked!

CARD DESCRIPTION:
Pantene has changed! They've listened to the needs of Australian women, and their new formula addresses our number one concern: damage. Te optimal blend of Pro-V in new Pantene nourishes and protects your hair.

PRICE: $7.99 350ml (Priceline link provided takes you to Pantene search)

The last full size product that I received was one of the products I was most looking forward too, which is the nail polish by Kester Black in the colour Ruby Tuesday.

This looks like a beautiful colour, I'm so glad that this was the colour I was given, I don't know how many other colours were available. I will just have to wait and see what other people get. I have never heard of this brand, nor tried it. So it will be interesting to see how this lasts on my nails!

CARD DESCRIPTION:
Introducing our very own bellabox nail polish line! Designed especially for our members in collaboration with Kester Black, this polish is long-wearing, chip resistant and 100% vegan.

PRICE: $20 (Bella Box Website) again this takes you to the search results.

Lastly in my box was another sachet sample. This is by the company MOR and it is a hand cream sample.

I have always wanted to try something from this brand, as I have passed it many times on my shopping trips! Although a sample this small might not be enough to get an opinion on it, its still nice to try something new!!

PRICE: $14.95 (Myer) at the time of this post it is on sale for $11.21
              $14.95 (David Jones)

Well that comes to the end of what I got in the October Bella Box. I liked this box, which is a nice change as there have been products that I really wasn't impressed with. I am excited again too see what might be coming in next months box!

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post and in the comments let me know if you want reviews on anything also what you got in your boxes!

Bye xx
